I’m excited to share with you a delicious recipe for vegan chocolate ganache made with creamy coconut milk, rich dark chocolate and vanilla sugar. Not only is this ganache dairy-free and vegan, but it’s also incredibly easy to make with just three simple ingredients.
The key to making the best ganache possible is to use high-quality dark chocolate, as the better the chocolate, the better the taste of the ganache will be. Trust me, once you try this decadent and velvety smooth chocolate ganache, you won’t even miss the traditional dairy-filled version. Let’s get started!

Vegan Chocolate Ganache
An easy chocolate ganache, using only three ingredients
Equipment
- 1 Small pot
- 1 Large chopping board
- 1 Large knife
- 1 Bowl
- 1 Whisk
- 1 teaspoon
Ingredients
- 400 ml Coconut milk Do not use the light version, as your ganache won't be thick enough.
- 500 g 70% dark chocolate
- 1-2 tsp Vanilla sugar (optional) Add after tasting, as you like.
Instructions
- Heat up the coconut milk at medium high heat. Your coconut milk should only reach a simmer, not a boil.
- Meanwhile, chop the chocolate well and add them to a bowl
- When your coconut has reached a simmer, add it to the chopped chocolate. Cover with a lid or plate on top and let rest for 5 minutes
- Whisk the chocolate and coconut mixture for about 2 minutes, until it reaches an even and creamy consistency.
- Taste the chocolate and if it needs to be a bit sweeter, add one teaspoon of vanilla sugar at a time.
- Let rest in the fridge for 15 minutes. This allows the mixture to cool and harden a bit. If you need to use it for cupcakes, I suggest you let it cool even longer.
- Add on top of a cake, cupcakes or use to dip strawberries with!
